Spring Semester
In January, scholars and staff kicked off the year with a group outing to Nifty Fifties, enjoying milkshakes, custom sodas, and a lively game of Den of Thieves, a strategic social deduction game.

Kirstyn was among 21 Radnor students who participated in the Harvard Model Congress this February, immersing herself in one of the nation’s most prestigious congressional simulations for high school students. In April, Luci, Kirstyn, and Bradley earned spots to compete in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) state competition in Hershey, PA.

As a senior, Addy played a key role in the Radnor Girls Crew Club, both as a dedicated team member and by managing college recruitment for her teammates. Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “It has made me grateful to be a part of such a loving collective.”

Ryan, a sophomore, made a strong comeback after recovering from a torn ACL, securing his place as a cornerback and wide receiver for the JV and Varsity football teams. Over the winter, he brought his skills to the JV and Varsity basketball teams. Meanwhile, Malachai and Naima traveled to Disney for a cheer competition where they demonstrated their talent and dedication on a national stage.

On the stage, Luci conveyed courtroom drama with a sassy attitude as the judge in Radnor High School’s production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, calling it “THE BEST PART OF MY YEAR!”

In March, the scholars traveled to Washington, D.C. to tour the city, visit museums and colleges (Including Howard University and Georgetown), and experience the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Spring was a busy and exciting season for the scholars! Kirstyn and Luci were elected as student representatives to the Radnor School Board, while Vanity performed improv skits with her team in Whose Line Is It Anyways with the Radnor Actors Workshop. In addition to improv, Vanity spent some time behind the scenes as part of stage crew and helping with prop set-ups. Naima and Malachai were recognized at Junior Awards Night in April, and Addy and Luci showcased their talents in the RHS Spring Choral and Orchestra Concert. Addy also celebrated her final year at Radnor by attending the senior prom. Meanwhile, Naima, Malachai, Kirstyn, Ryan, Michael, and Amir all represented Radnor on the track team. Addy's graduation ceremony took place at Villanova University and was attended by many members of the Radnor A Better Chance community, including her housemates. The celebration continued with a party at the house. We’re especially proud to share that Addy will be attending Ithaca College this fall. Her hard work, leadership, and grace have left a lasting impact, and we can’t wait to see what she does next!

Summer 2025
This summer, Malachai is traveling to Spain with the Experiment in International Living—we can’t wait to hear about her experience when she returns this fall. Kirstyn, following her passion for biology and public health, is interning at Fox Chase Cancer Center under the mentorship of Dr. Khadijah Mitchell. Naima is exploring the healthcare field through a program at the University of British Columbia, where she attends lectures by clinical practitioners and participates in hands-on workshops. One highlight was a microbiology lab examining bacteria from different areas of a building; the program emphasizes leadership in medicine.

Vanity is spending her summer in Washington, D.C., participating in a youth program focused on entrepreneurship and brand development. Bradley is engaged in not one but two immersive opportunities. He was selected as a Keystone Boys State delegate, where he ran for office and was elected senator, gaining firsthand experience in civic leadership and public policy. He’s now enrolled in a three-credit anthropology course through the Student Diplomacy Corps, examining the U.S. southern border through case studies, guest speakers, and fieldwork. He describes this as “a transformative summer—and it’s all thanks to ABC for helping me apply and access such incredible resources and opportunities.”

We look forward to hearing more about all these experiences in the Fall!
