A Better Chance Bash 2025
April 4, 2025View From College

Noel Maldonado, Jr. is a 2024 graduate of the Radnor ABC Program and is now a freshman at the State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton. We got a chance to catch up with him to hear how his year is going and how Radnor ABC helped prepare him for this next chapter in his life.
Radnor ABC had a huge impact on my life, both during my time in the program and now as a college student.
The bonds I formed and the relationships I built with scholars and community members led to lifelong friendships and valuable connections that I continue to rely on. Living in the house helped me develop independence, making the transition to dorm life much smoother.
During my time in Radnor, I worked at Christopher’s restaurant, where I strengthened my interpersonal skills and gained a deeper sense of responsibility.
The support and experiences I gained through ABC gave me the confidence to pursue a challenging major my freshman year.
Technology has always fascinated me, so majoring in Computer Science felt like a natural choice. While the coursework is challenging, I’m enjoying the process of learning and exploring the many paths within the field. I’m already researching internship opportunities to gain early experience and jump-start my career. Outside of academics, I’m making the most of college life—meeting new people, getting involved in activities, driving the on-campus bus, and playing basketball.
